Our Story

Chris Burleson was a fleet mechanic and in 2021 decided to change the narrative and fulfill one of his many bucket list adventures, so he quit turning wrenches and decided to thru hike the entire Appalachian Trail. After 4 1/2 months from Georgia to Maine he completed the 2,193.1 miles journey. After a long fun road trip back, he had decided on the mountain that he would not fall back in old routines, so he started doing a couple welding jobs and one week later he decided to open Burleson Welding that originally began as welding in the field and a smaller shop projects. When our amazing customers started requesting bigger and out of the box thinking projects, Chris decided to move one step further and open Summit Customs. Chris strives for perfection and won’t be out worked, here at Summit Customs we want to give you quality American made craftsmanship.
